The Body Mass Index (BMI) is used by health professionals to evaluate your weight in relation to your height. It is considered to provide a reliable indicator total body fat.

The Waist-to-Hip Ratio (WHR) is used to measure where fat is accumulated on your body. If your extra pounds tend to end up around your waist and abdomen, then you’re at a higher risk of serious health problems.
Women with waist-to-hip ratios of more than 0.8 or men with waist-to-hip ratios of more than 1.0 are at increased health risk because of their fat distribution.
