Health Tips – Women and Heart Disease

Heart disease often goes unrecognized in women because warning signals are more difficult to identify.

  • Women may get vague chest discomfort, instead of chest pain
  • Women often report pain in the upper back, neck, jaw or shoulder
  • Heartburn, profound fatigue and shortness of breath are common signs of heart disease in women

Women are more likely to die of a heart attack than men, so take immediate action if you experience any of these symptoms of heart disease.
