Health Tips – Work-Life Balance Myth or Reality?

Work-life balance – myth or reality?

Feeling guilty because you aren’t leading a ‘balanced’ life? Don’t get discouraged  – you’re not alone. How many people do you know who are truly happy with the shape and pace of their lives? Probably not many!

Truth is – there’s no magic formula that will allocate just the right amount of time to the many conflicting needs in your life. Invariably, life involves choices – and the choices are up to you.

As you move through different stages of life, your priorities and focus will change. You may get pregnant, tend to a sick parent, move to a new school or discover a new hobby. Things that are important to you will demand and hold your attention, often at the exclusion of other vital aspects of your life. At these times, you may feel wildly out-of-balance and guilty for neglecting other priorities.

The conflict between competing demands is inevitable – and it’s not   necessarily a bad thing. You may actually be happiest when you’re pursuing something that you feel passionate about – something that absorbs your time and attention completely.
